Simple, powerful, beautiful websites.
Josh at Ursa Massage is the type of person that likes to do things himself. So, naturally, he designed and built his own website. The only problem was, keeping it up-to-date and fixing small glitches had become a burden. Unstandardized Design took his original site, freshened up the design a bit, and made it into a standards-compliant website. To make it simple to update, we installed Wordpress as a content management system (CMS).
Josh regularly gets complements on the new look, and loves to tinker with the content of his site.
There are a lot of terrible websites out there, and Drake Insurance used to have one of them. The owner of the company confessed to me one day of being ashamed to give people his business card, for fear that they might go to his website and lose respect for him. Unstandardized Design to the rescue!
Using a straight-forward and eye-pleasing design from our friends at Skip Vision, we created a website that not only does Drake Insurance proud, but also helps eliminate some of the company's paperwork. The group insurance form simplifies the first step of a routine process, eliminating the need for faxes with barely legible writing, while the consultation form makes it simple for visitors to schedule a time to meet with Drake Insurance.
Building high-quality, affordable homes is a serious challenge. Selling them without a quality website can be downright impossible. C&A Builders turned to Unstandardized Design to create a website that both reflects their commitment to quality yet is easy to keep up-to-date with the latest home styles and listings.
The site runs on top of Drupal, with a custom theme originally designed by our friends at Skip Vision. The owners of the website are a bit techno-phobic, so to aide them in keeping the site's content fresh, we produced a number of short videos displaying common administrative tasks. We are happy to report that the training paid off - the site is totally self-sufficient.
Professional Baseball Training (PBT) has big goals - they want to be the first company to bring athletic training for baseball into the world of Web 2.0. Utilizing the renowned open-source content management system (CMS) Drupal as a solid, secure foundation, we've created a website with advanced features. PBT's clients can watch videos of their training sessions, analyzed by professional instructors, and interact with those instructors right on their own private page.
PBT is allowing players to bring the practice field home with them. And this is only the beginning, as version 2.0 of the website is set to launch in early 2009. Stay tuned.
"I was emailing someone my skillset for the thousandth time, when it hit me - 'what kind of web developer am I if I don't have an online resume?!' Building the site was a joy, I got to experiment with the MooFX Javascript toolkit, which eventually led me to the joys of jQuery. Ultimately, I'm proud of the site for its usage of space and non-traditional navigation. Also, I love the content - it's all about me!"

Designed in collaboration with our friends over at Skip Vision, this gorgeous website has been a consistent top performer. Evan has reported at least one new potential client each week generated from the custom-built online estimate scheduler.
Those are the types or results we can feel proud of, and that our clients love.
Back in 2004, Keely Owens came up with the idea of creating an SAT Tutoring business that wasn't... boring. Unstandardized Tutors was born. This website has seen three total revisions from 2004 - 2007, with the latest being designed by Skip Vision.
It was this company, and more specifically, it's website, that spawned Unstandardized Design.
When the owner of Docs Smoke Shop approached us in the summer of 2007, their website hadn't been updated in almost ten years. It was time for a change. With a design by our friends over at Skip Vision, we've boosted Docs reputation as the best smoke shop around.
With Docs occasional events needing online promotion, a simple content management system (CMS) was built to enable some of the not-so-tech-savvy people to update the site with ease.
The good folks over at Alibis Eatery & Spirits wanted a website to draw people into their new restaurant. Their needs included a spiffy design, and a relatively simple process for keeping their upcoming events up-to-date. We developed a custom content management system (CMS) using PHP and simple HTML forms to make updating the website easy for the restaurant's owners. To this day, they keep the site fresh with their ever-changing events and drink specials.
We love it when clients use the features we build. Go Alibis!
